AI bedroom design, for the bedroom you actually have.
Upload a photo of your bedroom and see it redesigned in about 30 seconds: new bedding, headboard, colors and lighting, in your own room. It is not a generator that invents a bedroom; your walls, windows and layout stay, so you can tell if it would really work.
Your first design is free in one of six free styles, with no signup and no card (available in the US, Canada, the UK and several European countries). All 75+ styles come with the $9.99, 30-day pass.

An ordinary bedroom, photographed on a phone and redesigned by the app in six styles. The windows, doors and ceiling stay; the bed, bedding, colors and light change.

From photo to new bedroom, in about a minute.
- 01
Take one photo from the door
Stand in the doorway or a corner and fit the bed, the window and as much floor as you can. Make the bed and clear the floor first. Daylight or every light on.
- 02
Pick a style
Start with one of the six free styles, or use any of the 75+ with the pass. Choose what may change: furniture, layout, wall color or flooring.
- 03
Compare, then refine
The redesign comes back in about 30 seconds. Try another style on the same photo, and with the pass change one thing at a time, such as the wall color or the bedding.
Bedroom problems it actually helps with.

Not sure which direction? Try two or three styles on your own photo and keep the one you would want to fall asleep in.
Make a small bedroom feel bigger
Light walls, a bed on legs, wall-mounted lamps instead of big nightstands and one large mirror usually open up a small bedroom. See which works before you buy.
Where should the bed go?
A style redesign can move furniture as part of the new look, and the Rearrange tool (with the pass) shows your own pieces in a new layout. It is a preview, not a floor planner, so measure before you move the bed.
Find a calm wall color
Bedroom colors look very different at night. Try a color in your room's own light before you buy a sample pot.
Renting, or can't paint?
Keep the walls as they are and let only the bedding, headboard, rug, curtains and lamps change. Textiles do most of the work in a bedroom.
Your bedroom, not a generated one
An AI bedroom generator invents a pretty room you don't live in. Decoratly starts from your photo, so the window, the door and the size of the room are real, and so is the result.
Six things that make a bedroom restful.
Use them to judge any redesign, ours or anyone else's.
01
Decide where the bed goes first
The bed is the biggest object in the room, so its position sets everything else. Most people prefer a solid wall behind the headboard, a clear line to the door and room to walk around both sides.
02
Use warm, dimmable light
Bedrooms feel best with warm white bulbs and more than one source: a lamp on each side plus a dimmable ceiling light. A single bright overhead fixture makes a bedroom feel like an office.
03
Keep the palette calm
Many people find muted, low-contrast colors more restful. If you want a bold color, put it on one wall or in bedding, which is easy to change later.
04
Layer textiles for comfort and control
Bedding, a rug and curtains do a lot of the work. Curtains also control light, so choose a heavier or blackout fabric if you need a dark room to sleep.
05
Match nightstands to the bed
Nightstands should sit close to the height of the mattress top, with room for a lamp, a book and a charger. Mismatched pieces can look intentional if they share a color or material.
06
Plan for storage
Clutter is the fastest way to make a bedroom look worse. Work out where clothes, shoes and bedding actually go, and keep the floor clear.
Common bedroom mistakes
- Choosing a bed that is too big for the room. Leave enough space to walk around it and to open drawers and doors.
- Relying on one overhead light. Add bedside lamps and dimmable bulbs so the room can wind down in the evening.
- Picking a paint color from a tiny sample. Wall color changes a lot with your light, so preview it on your real room, then test a sample in place.
- Buying furniture before measuring. A visualization shows the look, not whether a piece fits.
Which style suits your bedroom?

Bedroom questions, answered straight.
Can AI design my bedroom from a photo?
Yes. Upload a photo of your bedroom and Decoratly redesigns that exact room in about 30 seconds, keeping your walls, windows, doors and layout. You pick the style and choose what may change: furniture, layout, wall color or flooring.
Is AI bedroom design free?
Your first design is free, with no signup and no card, in one of six free styles: Hygge Haven, Velvet Nightfall, Warm Minimalist, Modern Studio, Botanical Greenhouse and Sunwashed Terracotta. It is offered in the US, Canada, the UK and several European countries, and free results carry a small watermark. The $9.99 pass gives you 30 days with all 75+ styles, the edit tools and 200 designs, paid once.
How is this different from an AI bedroom generator?
A generator makes up a bedroom from a text prompt, so it looks nice but is not your room. Decoratly starts from a photo of your bedroom and keeps its walls, windows and size, so the result shows what your own room could look like.
Can AI help with my bedroom layout?
It can show a new arrangement: a style redesign can move furniture, and the Rearrange tool in the pass shows your own pieces in a new layout. It is not a measured floor planner, so check the dimensions before you move or buy a bed.
Can I try different wall colors and bedding?
Yes. Try several styles on the same photo, and with the edit tools in the pass change one thing at a time, such as the wall color. Test a real paint sample in your own light before you buy.
Will it change my windows or doors?
No. The windows, doors, ceiling and the shape of the room are kept, so the result still looks like your bedroom.
What photo works best for a bedroom?
One from the doorway or a corner, in good light, showing the bed, the window and as much floor as possible. Make the bed and clear the floor first, and hold the phone horizontally at eye level.
See your bedroom, redesigned in 30 seconds.
One photo, one free design, no account. If you like it, keep it.
Who makes this
Decoratly is built and run by Kamil Uhryn and has been live since November 2023. 25,000+ rooms have been redesigned with it. Every picture on this page was made by the app from an ordinary photo, with the same model and style prompts you get.
What it can't do
- It shows how your bedroom could look. It is not a floor plan or a measured drawing, so measure before you buy.
- It works from one photo. Anything the photo does not show is inferred, not known.
- AI images can get small details wrong. Results are checked automatically and you can run a design again.
